India Gets IT! Information Technology that is…

November 8, 2010

Our government not so much!   Part One – Jobs!

November 9th, 2010, addressing a joint press conference with Obama on the last leg of his three day India visit, Singh sought to allay concerns in the US and said, “As far as India is concerned, India is not in the business of stealing jobs from the US. Outsourcing industry, I believe, has helped to improve the productive capacity and productivity of American industries.” Protectionism, he said, is detrimental to both economies.

Hello!  I guess these two leaders aren’t getting the daily barrage of SPAM emails from Indian companies soliciting my business to outsource software development and IT to India?!  Not happening here.  We are hiring right here in the good old US of A.  We are adding people in the face of higher taxes and a struggling economy.

Simply put, both leaders are being dishonest and disingenuous.

Even though we have been losing millions of jobs to India, Obama is talking about India bringing 50,000 jobs to the US.  Obama portends the “advancing middle class” in India will buy more goods from the US.  Really?  We don’t make most of the goods sold to the middle class here in the US.  Why buy their goods here?  China is right next store!!

If this is a competition between teleprompters, India wins hands down!

Update:

Yesterday afternoon, the shares of Cisco Systems, Inc lost 16.2% of their value. Ironically, last month the CEO of Cisco and the President of Oracle Corporation penned a joint letter in the Wall Street Journal called: The Overseas Profits Elephant in the Room with a solution to our economic fatigue. Their common sense plea was to lower the US tax rate for corporations wishing to bring their overseas earnings to the United States. The current rate of up to 35% strongly discourages re-investment in our nation and is opposite the policy of the rest of the developed world. They imagined a trillion dollars flooding into our nation and millions of Americans hired. They were ignored.

This President is doing nothing more than spreading tax-payer wealth around the globe and taking a boon-doggle trip on our dime at the rate of $250 million a day.

The arrogance is overwhelming. And to top it off, the voting machines haven’t even been put away and our “GOP” elite are talking compromise. Why can’t they learn? One thing you have to admire about the Dem’s; when they get in power, they know how to drive the train. Down the wrong track, that’s for sure, but they know what the throttle is for.

The GOP plan should be to take power, point this train in the right direction and open the throttle. The time for political correctness is over. Return us to prosperity through traditional American Values.
